Jasmine Shavers led the Lady Raiders with 15 points as Texas Tech fell 70-64 to the Utah Utes on Wednesday night at United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock.

Shavers posted a 50 percent field goal night and recorded a team-best 21st double-digit scoring game of the year. She also went 3-for-4 from 3-point range while adding three rebounds, an assist and a steal.

Denae Fritz posted a career-best 4-for-5 from beyond the arc for a season-high of 12 points. She tied her career best with four steals. Bailey Maupin added 13 points and Sarengbe Sanogo ended with 11.

Utah's Jenna Johnson posted a game-high 20 points and Kennady McQueen added 18. Maye Toure scored 12 and posted 11 rebounds for a double-double. Renee Ross added five points and four boards off the bench.

Tech led 33-31 at the half but a 23-point third quarter by Utah was too much to overcome while the Lady Raiders managed just 17. The Utes also outscored Tech 16-14 in the final period.

The Lady Raiders shot 49 percent from the field and 52.9 percent from deep. It was the best shooting effort since Dec. 22 against Houston.

Next up, the Lady Raiders head to Fort Worth to take on No. 9 TCU at Schollmaier Arena in Fort Worth.
