Johnny Walker knocked out Zhang Mingyang in the main event of UFC Shanghai in a second round stoppage.

Walker started the fight on the front foot, securing a takedown. However, Mingyang managed to overturn the situation, dominating from the top position in the first round. Mingyang continued to rain down heavy shots from the up, forcing Walker to rethink his tactics in the second round. Walker weathered the storm to land two solid calf kicks. Mingyang fell down to the canvas in extreme pain, allowing Walker to take the initiative. He landed a series of  ground-and-pound attacks, forcing the referee to stop the fight. The win ended Walker’s two-fight losing streak.

“My kick is awesome, right? A tough fighter from China, a lot of straight wins,” he said. “It’s a really good experience to fight a guy that’s very tough. You see, I’m durable. I got some punches in the face today and I keep coming, And then I got him. This is MMA. Amazing, right?,” Walker said
