Kendrick Lamar's showstopping performance during the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show left many impressed, and it's still being talked about months later.
The rapper brought out SZA and performed many songs from his newest album, "GNX." But, that all led up to the moment when he sang "Not Like Us," which is a diss track he wrote about Drake. It was absolutely iconic.
And others clearly think so.
On Tuesday, it was announced that Lamar has been nominated for two 2025 Emmy Award: Outstanding Music Direction and Outstanding Variety Special (Live).
In the Outstanding Music Direction category, he is nominated alongside The Kennedy Center Honors, The Oscars, SNL50: The Anniversary Special, and SNL50: The Homecoming Concert. As for Outstanding Variety Special (Live), he is joined by "Beyoncé Bowl" (Netflix), "The Oscars" (ABC), "SNL50: The Anniversary Special" (NBC), and "SNL50: The Homecoming Concert" (Peacock)
While the whole performance was very memorable, one of the best moments was when he teased "Not Like Us" throughout the entire set. At one point, he even said, "I want to perform their favorite song, but they love to sue." And he continued to incorporate the idea of the lawsuit throughout. But, since the song has won so many awards, he had to perform his top hit.
And the crowd loved every minute.
