Kentucky 4-Star DB reacts to Alabama offer: ‘The expectation to be great there is unmatched’

Allen Evans walked away with an offer from Alabama football after camping in front of the Crimson Tide’s coaching staff.

Evans is a 2027 prospect. He attends Trinity High School in Louisville, Kentucky, and he garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites at the moment.

Evans’ Alabama offer was extended while talking with the Tide’s defensive backs coach, Maurice Linguist.

“It means everything to me,” Evans told Touchdown Alabama. “It’s the type of offer I dreamed about as a kid.”

The four-star went on to expand on his thoughts about the Crimson Tide’s program as a whole.

“I think it’s one of the top programs in the country,” Evans said. “I feel that it is a program that develops and prepares it players to play at the next level in the NFL. The tradition and expectation to be great there is unmatched.”

Alabama continues to go after long defensive backs, and Evans fits the mold of the prospects the Tide is targeting at cornerback. He is a long defensive back at 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds. He has no problem with coming downhill to help in run support and make tackles. His length aids him coverage but so does his hip fluidity and ability to smoothly change direction.
