In the sixth round of their scheduled battle, Khalil Coe defeated veteran Mexican fighter Manuel Gallegos via technical knockout, solidifying his ascent in the light heavyweight class on Friday night.

Coe demonstrated his exceptional speed, power, and technical skill from the first bell. He kept Gallegos at bay with a constant barrage of clean blows by controlling the distance with quick movement and stinging jabs. Gallegos, who was renowned for his toughness and aggressive demeanour, attempted to advance and enforce his will, but Coe maintained his composure.

Coe's body work started to show signs of weariness in the early rounds. Gallegos was significantly slowed down by his precise and clean combinations, which included painful hooks to the abdomen. In the third and fourth rounds, Gallegos made an effort to rally, but Coe's movement and counterpunching kept him frustrated. Coe made Gallegos pay with accurate blows to the head and body every time he opened up. The momentum was clearly in Coe's favor by the fifth round. Sensing that his opponent was losing strength, he started to increase the intensity.

Although Gallegos exhibited courage and fortitude by taking a lot of punishment and not giving up, it was obvious that things had changed. Gallegos was unable to protect himself against Coe's flurry of punches in the sixth round. The referee intervened to end the fight when Gallegos was backed into the ropes and took clean blows without responding, giving Coe the TKO victory at 1:58 of the round.

With the victory, Coe, who is still unbeaten and gaining ground as one of the division's best prospects, takes yet another big step ahead. He makes it very evident to the other light heavyweight competitors that he is prepared for greater challenges and stakes with this most recent victory. Gallegos faced a rising star on a difficult night, but his tenacity and determination were evident. He is still well-liked in the division despite the defeat, and he will probably get back together for another attempt.
