The Las Vegas Aces are debuting a new Raiders-inspired logo and uniform for the 2024 WNBA season.
The two-time defending champions are ditching the red, black and gold look.
Instead, they’ll wear a silver and black color scheme that falls in line with its NFL counterpart — Raider Nation.
It also falls in line with the franchise’s roots.
Before the Aces moved to Las Vegas in 2018, they were the San Antonio Silver Stars — and they wore silver and black uniforms.
Just ask Aces head coach Becky Hammon. She spent the final eight years of her WNBA career with the Silver Stars before embarking on a legendary coaching career, which eventually led her to Sin City.
And now, after representing the red, black and gold for two title-winning seasons, she’s making a return to the silver and black.

So, let’s learn more about these jerseys…
All WNBA teams have three different jersey designs — the Heroine Edition, Rebel Edition and Explorer Edition. The Heroine and Rebel editions, which were revealed on March 6, are adopting the new silver and black color scheme.
The Heroine Edition is white with silver numbers, ‘ACES’ written across the front, and alternating black and white stripes along the side.
The Rebel Edition is black with silver numbers, ‘LAS VEGAS’ written across the front, and the same design on the side (but inverted).

According to a team statement, the silver represents ‘modern, sharp, elegant.’ It’s an ode to the color of the ‘most iconic trophies in history’ and a color ‘representing expert craftsmanship.’
Black represents ‘the strongest of all the colors’ and is associated with power, authority, and protection.
And finally, white represents the franchise’s illuminating, vivid, and bright future. “Providing hope, clarity, and self-reflection—headed towards a bright future,” the press release read.
Fans might be a little sad to learn that the Aces’ primary jerseys won’t feature any red this year.
But don’t worry — the team isn’t totally ditching the red.
According to Fox 5 Vegas, Championship Red is ‘still part of the team culture and still a core part of the Aces winning identity.’
And, apparently, a core part of the Aces’ Explorer Edition jersey.

The team has yet to reveal those threads, but they did give fans a teaser. And it’s clear that the base of the jersey is red.
“Soon,” they captioned the teaser.
Of course, that was nearly a month ago, and another reveal should be coming soon.
So, stay tuned!
