Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is happy to see Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark back in action. That much was clear on Saturday.
With the Lakers' season ending early after losing to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the NBA playoffs, James has had plenty of time to watch games and do other non-basketball activities.
More recently, he's focused on his podcast, "Mind the Game," along with his co-host Steve Nash.
On Saturday, however, James took the time to watch the Fever's showdown against the New York Liberty, during which Clark made her return from a five-game absence due to a quad injury.
After Clark led the way for the Fever — finishing with 32 points, eight rebounds and nine assists along with seven 3-pointers — James was quick to heap praise on the All-Star playmaker and say that she was "missed."
However, James didn't stop there. After the Fever guard posted on Instagram to celebrate her return and the team's 102-88 win, the Lakers forward also commented with a two-word response.
"Welcome back!!!!" James wrote.
It's not the first time LeBron James has shown his support for Caitlin Clark. At the start of the season, when the Fever star recorded a triple-double against the Chicago Sky, the four-time NBA MVP was among the first to react.
At the time, James said, "TRIPLE DUB CC!! Great way to kick off the season!"
Clark, for her part, has always been a big fan of James. In fact, she considers him the "greatest of all time."
