The Liberty Flames got blown out in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament, seeing their season end with a brutal 81-52 loss to the Oregon Ducks.

Unfortunately for head coach Ritchie McKay, that may not have been the worst part of the night.

During the first half of the blowout, with Liberty already in a giant hole after falling behind 18-2 in the opening minutes, McKay was interviewed on the sideline by one of the reporters on the broadcast. A screenshot of this interview has cause quite a stir on social media, with fans questioning what in the world is going on with McKay's haircut.

McKay has not turned heads like this before due to his hair, which has looked normal in the past with a slight widow's peak. However, he appears to have tried something new, with an apparent paint job to create a new hairline for the tournament, and fans didn't take too kindly to it.

Seeing his hairline go viral on social media may not be great, but it could help distract McKay from the game that his team just played. Liberty is well known as a great shooting team, ranking seventh in the nation this year with a 39% 3-point field goal percentage.

Against the Ducks, though, the Flames made just 8-of-37 shots from deep, which is 22%. Meanwhile, Oregon was on fire to start the game, shooting 55% from the field and from beyond the arc in the first half, ultimately building up a 30-point lead before all was said and done.
