Remember Little Devil Inside? You may remember it from PlayStation’s Future of Gaming showcase in 2020 when the PS5 was first revealed. Well, since then we’ve only seen the game a handful of times, with marketing pretty low-key with many people wondering whether that game is actually coming out. Well, with the release of its new trailer, the message is clear: Little Devil Inside is still alive.

The new trailer, appropriately titled "Despite all." was accompanied by an update on its Kickstarter page, revealing that Neostream, the game’s developer, is looking for a publisher. It marks the first update on the game's Kickstarter page in four years, so you can see why people thought the project was canceled. The game will now be rebuilt using Unreal Engine 5.

“We have genuinely started discussions regarding publishing and once this clears out, hopefully we'll be able to answer what everyone wants to know,” reads an excerpt from the update.

Little Devil Inside is 3D action-adventure RPG where "you are thrown into a surreal but somewhat familiar setting with humans, creatures and monsters to interact with, learn and hunt - journey, survive and discover the world that exists beyond." The game's minimalistic design for its characters and environments is on full display in the trailer. It will also include survival mechanics along with some social sim systems as teased in the gameplay footage. The game will also have a co-op mode once it is released.

Neostream offered its "sincere apologies" for the lack of updates, stating that development is "back to a smaller, bonded team". Considering the fact that its Kickstarter campaign started almost a decade ago, fans aren't happy with the game's slow development cycle. The comment section on the update post has many backers expressing their distrust and disappointment with the campaign,

Little Devil Inside is currently in development for PS4 and PS5. The game is also, surprisingly, still slated to release on other platforms, including the Nintendo Wii as seen on its Kickstarter page, although plans for that are bound to change given its new development schedule. Despite an announcement of the game's exclusivity to PlayStation consoles, other platforms are still listed on its Kickstarter page and the official website, so we'll just have to wait for the next update for more clarification.
