Georgia’s season is slipping away fast. It lost three of its last four games, and three of the next four games are on the road starting at Auburn. After that? Florida. Win this, and the NCAA Tournament hopes pop back up.

Missouri overcame a two-game mini losing streak with a blowout over Oklahoma. It gets Alabama next, but the rest of the slate isn’t too bad. Pull off this road game, and the NCAA spot should be cemented.

Why Missouri Will Win

Georgia isn’t hitting the three, and it’s not overcoming a turnover problem. To be fair, the giveaways have slowed over the last five games, but but the lack of threes - just under seven per game - hasn’t been enough to keep up.

Missouri’s depth should start to kick in soon - this hasn’t played like a fresh team at times, but it’s there. The defense is great at forcing takeaways, the team is among the best in America at getting to the free throw line - it’s making 20 a game - and …

Why Georgia Will Win

The Georgia D from three should matter in this.

There might be problems with the offensive consistency - that’s because there just aren’t enough threes being made - but the defensive side is aggressive.

The Dawgs are 15-2 when keeping teams under 42% from the field, and while Missouri is good at coming up with the easy basket, it’s 0-5 when it can’t get to 42%.

But the real problem for the Tigers is when they’re not hitting from the outside. They’re 3-5 when they can’t get to 31% from three, and …

Missouri is good at finding the extra man open to get that look from the outside. The team is 15-1 when it hit’s 31% or better from three, but that’s not a given against these Bulldogs.

Georgia’s issues are on the road. At home it lost twice - once by two to Auburn, and last week to Mississippi State by one. Missouri is hit or miss away from Columbia, and it’s a machine at home.
