Rich Rodriguez and West Virginia have come into the state of Alabama and picked up a commitment from Cam Mallory.

Mallory attends Moody High School and is a 2026 defensive lineman.

The 6-foot-2 approximately 300-pound defender feels at home with the Mountaineers.

“I loved the vibe of Morgantown,” Mallory tells Touchdown Alabama. “It reminded me a lot of Alabama. My relationship with both head coach Rich Rodriguez and defensive coordinator Zac Alley has been great ever since I received the offer earlier this year.”

The Mountaineers have an idea of how they plan to utilize Mallory’s skill set.

“They plan to use me primarily as an interior defensive lineman either at nose or tackle,” Mallory said. “They run a similar scheme to ours here at Moody.”

Last season as a junior, Mallory registered 96 tackles, 22 tackles for loss and 12 sacks for the Blue Devils.
