The latest College Football Playoff rankings were released this Tuesday night on ESPN, and to the surprise of no one, there were a handful of changes to the top 12.
Several upsets went down in Week 13 of the college football season. For starters, Florida shocked Ole Miss in The Swamp to hand Lane Kiffin's squad its third loss of the year. A few hours later, Kansas took down Colorado in a thriller at Arrowhead Stadium. Later that night, Alabama was blown out on the road by Oklahoma in maybe the most surprising result of the weekend. The only reason we can't say that's definitely the biggest upset of the week is because Auburn stunned Texas A&M in overtime.
Not only did Week 13 feature a few upsets, Ohio State blew out then-undefeated Indiana at home. It was a statement win by Ryan Day's squad.
While the top four for this week's CFP rankings remained the same, everything else was turned upside down.
Here are the latest College Football Playoff rankings:
As of right now, Oregon, Texas, Miami and Boise State would receive first-round byes.
The biggest winners from this week's rankings have to be SMU, Tennessee, Arizona State and Alabama. The fact that Alabama only dropped to No. 13 is quite wild.
There could be plenty of changes after Week 14, especially if Texas A&M manages to take down Texas. Despite the Aggies' loss this past weekend, they still have a path to the CFP.
At this point, fans should expect to see a team with three losses get into the dance.
