On a huge week for combat sports fans, several new additions were brought into the UFC roster.

While Dana White may have one eye on his boxing plans ahead of this weekend’s dream clash between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford, that doesn’t mean that the UFC hasn’t been busy.

Noche UFC takes place this Saturday, and while it’s a busy fight week in Las Vegas for the huge boxing card at Allegiant Stadium, September 13 isn’t where the action kicks off.

White was never going to miss this week’s episode of Dana White’s Contender Series, even if he’s got a huge weekend of fights ahead of him.

Episode five of this year’s season saw five more contracts get handed out following some impressive finishes and performances.

Dana White named one finish ‘one of the craziest knockouts’ that he’s ever seen this past Tuesday night.

While Samuel Sanches’ contract-winning finish over Chasen Blair was incredibly impressive, there was another highlight that ended up stealing the show.

Lerryan Douglas put Cam Teague away in just 36 seconds with a full display of the power that he brings into the Octagon.

White was somewhat lost for words when announcing that the Brazilian had earned himself a contract, making it clear that there wasn’t really anything he could add to a performance like that.

Douglas’ life-changing night didn’t end there as he looked to celebrate the win with his team in Las Vegas.

A video posted by Cris Cyborg, who was supporting Douglas, shows the newly signed fighter sitting in a restaurant when his knockout win comes on the screen as SportsCenter’s top play of the day.

Multiple people around him, noticing that the man standing up to watch the video is the person delivering the highlight, congratulated him.

Five contracts were given out on Tuesday night but surprisingly, they weren’t all of the winners of the bouts.

While Freddy Vidal didn’t receive a contract, he was offered the opportunity to return on the final episode of the series after stepping in on late notice and recording an upset win.

Dana White chose instead to award both the winner and loser of the night’s opening contest a spot on the roster following a great fight between Carol Foro and Shanelle Dyer.
