Nobody 2 is farther ahead than anyone thought. Not only is Bob Odenkirk back as the family man hiding his secret past life as a deadly assassin, but there’s a confirmed release date.
That date is just over a year away, with Nobody 2 hitting theaters August 15, 2025. Shooting hasn’t started yet, but when it does, Indonesian action-horror filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto is set to direct.
He’s got history delivering lavish action spectacle, previously directing The Night Comes For Us and Headshot.
While the director of 2021’s first film, Ilya Naishuller, departs its sequel, scriptwriter Derek Kolstad is back. He also wrote John Wick, and speaking of which, John Wick 4 had a way more depressing ending.
Plot details are underwraps at this point, but the post-credits scene for Nobody saw
Hutch receiving a mysterious phone call at his family home, which presumably kick-starts another session of mobster-based mayhem.
Production is expected to begin on Nobody 2 later this year.
