The Oklahoma Sooners hosted a ton of recruits last weekend when they were in Norman, beating up the Michigan Wolverines. That win was huge for the program in terms of the trajectory moving forward this season, but also because of recruiting . It was so successful, they accidentally made an Auburn Tigers safety commit in the 2027 class, diss Michigan.

"The fans, the atmosphere, the coaches, and the winning culture all stood out to me," said four-star safety Jaylen Scott. "The facilities are amazing, and you could tell who the real blue blood program was. I love Oklahoma; it was a great experience all around."

The Sooners would love to flip Scott from Auburn, and next week would be a perfect reason to show him why he should, as the Sooners take on the Tigers in Week 4. However, beating Michigan so badly, and having the gameday experience be so perfect that it causes him to diss Michigan, is gold.

It's safe to say Scott enjoyed his time in Norman.

“Being from Alabama, you wouldn’t think much of Oklahoma, but while we were there, we saw how the city was, and it’s a real college town,” Scott told Rivals. “I’ve visited some college towns, and some don’t compare to Norman on game day. They’re very consistent with me; we talk every day. Coach Hall told me how I would contribute to that dominant defense. After the visit, I see OU very highly. They’ve jumped up numerous spots.”

Oklahoma would love to be able to flip Scott.

2027 Auburn commit Jaylen Scott is the real deal

It's good that they're leaving such a huge impression on Scott just weeks before OU and Auburn play one another, because it will still be fresh in his mind. And, let's face it, these are kids, and kids are easily influenced, so a beatdown next week against the Tigers at home could help sway Scott to flip.

Scott is an elite safety, and even has some other skills from playing different positions throughout his football career growing up. He can catch, he can make plays with the ball in his hands, and you can tell that his IQ is pretty good, too. Scott has some good speed with the potential to have great length as he continues to grow.

Getting him in Bent Venables' system and developing him, as you see, he can do very well with defensive players, would be awesome for the Sooners. Look at the secondary in Auburn and tell me if that's a secondary that's been developed as well as the one in Oklahoma, where all of the CBs are homegrown, and most of the safeties are homegrown.

Scott could end up flipping for all we know.
