OTE Teams on the Rise Set for Duel

Friday, December 20:

7 p.m. - Blue Checks vs. Cold Hearts (Prime Video)

Saturday, December 21:

5 p.m. - Cold Hearts vs. RWE (YouTube)

7 p.m. - Blue Checks vs. City Reapers (YouTube)

This week’s marquee matchup is being played at 5 p.m. on Saturday between two teams who are trending in the right direction: the Cold Hearts and RWE. The Cold Hearts are coming off of their first win of the season and are looking to build on that momentum this weekend. RWE is looking to push above .500 for the first time this season after winning two straight over the Blue Checks last weekend

The Cold Hearts first win of the season came in dramatic fashion over Fear of God Athletics, as the Cold Hearts took home a cathartic 97-90 win. Kai Rogers had his most dominant game of the season, finishing with 25 points, which included an OTE record six dunks, and eight boards. Wei Zhao has also entered another stratosphere of play as of late, dropping 20 points and 12 dimes, tied for the third most ever in an OTE game, in the Cold Hearts victory

On the other side of things, RWE dropped over 100 points in each of their wins and are the league’s most efficient offense, as they lead OTE in both field goal percentage and three-point percentage while also dishing out the most assists this season. Taylen Kinney continues to threaten pretty much every efficiency record OTE has for guard play as he is top five in the league in both FG% (61.5%, 5th) and 3PT% (44.1%, 2nd)

The weekend begins on Friday at 7 p.m. on Prime Video with a rematch of the Cold Hearts and Blue Checks. The last meeting between the two ended in heartbreak for the Cold Hearts as Kaden Magwood hit a game-winning three in the closing seconds to seal a 97-94 victory

The weekend closes out with the second meeting of the season between the City Reapers and Blue Checks. The Blue Checks pulled off a 97-86 upset victory the last time the two teams met, as both Magwood and Josiah Parker went over 25 points

12 p.m. - YNG Dreamerz vs. Diamond Doves

Sunday, December 22:

3:30 p.m. - Diamond Doves vs. Jelly Fam

There will also be OTE action in New York City this weekend as the Diamond Doves, Jelly Fam and YNG Dreamerz play in a round robin that will take place from Friday to Sunday. The Dreamerz are looking to start another win streak after dropping their first game of the season last weekend to the City Reapers. Meanwhile the Diamond Doves and Jelly Fam both look to break out of slumps, as they have each lost three consecutive games ⬇️
