Somehow, the Green Bay Packers were brought up by fans inside the United Center in Chicago during last Sunday’s NBA game between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Chicago Bulls. In the first half of that contest, fans can be heard on the broadcast chanting, “Green Bay sucks.”
While it’s an unlikely location to express hatred for Green Bay, it’s not surprising considering that all of Chicago loathes the team from Titletown.

Green Bay gave Chicago sports even more reasons to hate it when the Packers defeated the Chicago Bears in Week 14 at Lambeau Field, 28-21, to take control of the top spot in the NFC North standings.
However, the Bears have reclaimed the No. 1 place in the division again after they beat the Cleveland Browns at Soldier Field on Sunday, 31-3, and following Green Bay’s 34-26 defeat at the hands of the Denver Broncos at Empower Field on the same day.
Through 15 weeks in the 2025 NFL season, the Bears have a 10-4 record, while the Packers own a 9-4-1 slate.
Green Bay still has control of its fate in the division, in large part because there is still one more game to play between the Packers and the Bears. That will happen this coming Sunday at Soldier Field. A Green Bay win would put them at the No. 1 spot in the division again.
That is going to be easier said than done, especially with star pass rusher Micah Parsons suffering a season-ending injury in the Broncos game, but Green Bay remains a tough team to deal with for any opponent.
As for those chanting fans, they went home after witnessing the Bulls lose to the Pels, 114-104.
