It's happened to many of us before.
Ol' Fred is up on the tee box on a sleepy Saturday morning. He waggles his club, pauses a second, and takes a big swing. The ball flies majestically before putting on a right turn signal and cutting hard to the right. Thwock! Off the roof of some poor house beyond the rough. Your buddies giggle and snort as you all shuffle quickly to the golf cart and fly up the fairway to play your next shot and get gone before the homeowner comes outside.
Tennessee Vols legend Peyton Manning indeed is a man of the people in that regard. Manning participated last week in the Golden Bear Pro-Am, where he teed it up with #1 golfer in the world Scottie Scheffler. During the event, Manning swung and plunked one off a nearby house from the tee box. Manning yelled "fore!" right before impact. The entire scene caused Scheffler to bend over in laughter, holding his knees.

We've all been there, Peyton. Except it's a lot easier to have to give a sheepish wave afterwards when you have an event with professional golfers there and the #1 player in the world is standing on the tee with you.
Manning has proven to be a source of entertainment and amusement wherever he goes - whether that's with his NFL ManningCast broadcasts with brother Eli, on Saturday Night Live, or at the roast of Tom Brady. Manning has shown almost as natural an ability as an entertainer as he did carving up defenses on football weekends for two decades.
It appears as though his ability to send folks into fits of laughter - intended or not - also bleeds over into outings on the golf course.
