Remember The Limp Bizkit Limited Edition Snowboard?

Nitro Snowboards has never been the kind of company to shy away from a collaboration.

The brand will stay true to that mantra in the fall of 2025, when it drops its latest joint effort. This time, it’s with Italian cycling company Cinelli. In years past, it’s been with Volcom, Yung Doli’s outerwear company Drink Sexy, and the artist M.M. Murcock’s Wigglestick Pretend Co.

If you look back into the archives, though, one particular collaboration stands out above the rest: a limited edition Limp Bizkit snowboard.

If you have no idea who Limp Bizkit is, that’s OK. You probably missed out on the cultural moment Nu Metal had in the late 1990s and early 2000s. While some of those bands aged well – thank you Linkin Park and to some extent, Korn – most of them have not. Add Limp Bizkit to that list.

Today, society has done a full 180 (pardon the pun) on Limp Bizkit, though. It’s leaned into the meme of it all.

In February, Instagram account Thriftboards posted a giveaway for the board. It got plenty of attention in the comments section, with the official Vans Snowboarding page recommending that it should be sent to British snowboarder Mia Brookes. Brookes is unapologetically a die-hard metal fan, who’s made her love for bands like Metallica and Linkin Park well-known.

The collaboration came with help from Motor Music Corp. The graphics were made by Nitro team rider Lukas Goeller, with the support of the band. Each board was sold with an interactive CD ROM that featured clips of the band members and Nitro riders snowboarding together.

The relationship between Nitro and the band started in 1998, when an executive from Motor heard members of Nitro’s team band playing at a bar in Switzerland.

It was the second music collaboration Nitro had. The first was a special promotion with The Bloodhound Gang. Nitro riders taught the band how to snowboard, and a limited-edition board with another interactive CD ROM was also distributed.
