All roads led to SV Kampong CC in Utrecht for the 67th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup League Two running from 2023–2027.

Netherlands won the toss but opted to bowl first. The decision did not work in their favor, as Scotland's batters took advantage and scored runs freely. Scotland posted a commanding total of 380 runs in 50 overs. The Dutch bowlers lacked discipline and gave away 17 extras, including six byes, one leg bye, and 10 wides, which helped boost Scotland’s strong innings.

Munsley opened the batting for Scotland with a strong start, scoring 80 runs from 56 balls, hitting 12 fours and two sixes at an impressive strike rate of 142.86. He teamed up with Charlie Tear, who came in at number two and added 12 runs. Their dismissals came in the 19th and 6th overs, after which Brandon McMullen and Captain Berrington took control of the charge. The duo scored half-centuries—McMullen delivered a sparkling 101-run knock, while Berrington amassed a superb 105 runs.

The Netherlands bowlers bounced back towards the end of the innings. They managed to restrict Scotland’s lower order, allowing only two players—Matthew Cross (41) and Jack Jarvis (12)—to reach double figures. Mark Watt fell for a duck, while Brad Currie stayed at the crease but could not add meaningful runs.

The Netherlands fell short of the target, getting bowled out for 235 runs in 42.1 overs. Despite conceding 10 extras, including four leg byes and six wides, the Scotland bowlers maintained disciplined field placements and applied consistent pressure. All-rounder Brandon McMullen was impressive with the ball, claiming four wickets in 10 overs while conceding 55 runs, including a maiden over. Support came from Brad Currie, Safyaan Sharif, and Jack Jarvis, who took 3, 1, and 2 wickets respectively, though the other bowlers went wicketless.

The Netherlands' top scorers were Bas de Leede with 74, Michael Levitt, who made 32, and Noah Croes, who added 23 runs.
