Dallas, Texas native Sha'Carri Richardson has quietly become one of the most popular and well known athletes from the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France where she captured a gold medal in the women's 4x100 meter relay race and a silver medal in the women's 100 meter race.
Richardson has been active on social media, sharing video blogs with her 485 thousand plus followers on X in hopes of drumming up interest for women's track and field.
On Thursday, Richardson made her latest personal announcement, and it's likely to be a welcome one among serious fans of the sport.
"Time waits for no one. Unless you can outrun it," the X page ATHLOS wrote on Thursday, debuting a video promotion featuring Richardson.
"@itsshacari has arrived."
ATHLOs is a new track and field based league that says it is "built to empower modern athlete and blaze the sport forward" on its website.
"The ATHLOS League format will introduce a team-based competition with a historic athlete-advisor ownership model, arriving 2026," the league further states.
Richardson joined the league alongside Tara Davis-Woodhall, who won a gold medal in the long jump event at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics for Team USA.
ATHLOs currently has over 5,700 followers on its X page and is taking reservations for ticket purchases for its October 2025 event in New York City.
