Supacell: Netflix Unveils Trailer for New Superhero Series

A super new series is heading to Netflix this month from Rapman, the award-winning mind behind Blue Story.

Starring Michael Salami, Eddie Marsan, Adelayo Adedayo, Travis Jay, Destiny Viva, Ky-Mani Carty, and Andy Thompson, Supacell follows a group of ordinary people from South London who unexpectedly develop superpowers.

The streaming service has released the official trailer for the series, which will be six episodes long and premieres June 27.

Netflix has also shared an official synopsis, which reads:

SUPACELL is about a group of five ordinary people who unexpectedly develop superpowers. They have little in common except for one thing: they are all Black South Londoners. It is down to one man, Michael Lasaki, to bring them all together in order to save the woman he loves.

The short and sweet preview introduces us to our five stars and gives us a glimpse at their superpowers in action. We see one person able to move things without touching them, someone with super speed and another with super strength.

Both action-filled and touching, the preview for Supacell delivers sentimental moments among the grandeur of the show's superhero elements.
