Superman Logo Officially Unveiled by DC

James Gunn shared a new version of the Superman logo.

In a post on Threads, the Superman director and co-CEO of DC showed off the latest version of Superman’s emblem, captioning it with: “In exactly one year Superman opens all over the world."

The Superman emblem is a lot brighter than the last one Gunn posted, with bolder colours and a glinting gold background. Out of all Superman’s incarnations, it’s most similar to the crest in the DC Comics storyline Kingdom Come.

Previously, we saw what looked to be an in-universe, live-action close-up of the crest, which presumably adorns Superman’s costume. There was also a smattering of snow on it. Seeing as that image is now six months old, it might have been updated in the interim.

It certainly looks darker than the more recent leaked shots of Superman actor David Corenswet’s suit, as seen on the set of the film.

Superman releases 11th July 2025.
