Tennessee Vols fans started the penultimate weekend of the 2024 college football regular season with some unwelcome news.
According to a report from On3 , 2025 five-star offensive lineman David Sanders Jr is visiting Ohio State on Saturday for the Buckeyes' game against the Indiana Hoosiers.
Sanders, 6-foot-6/290 lbs from Charlotte, NC, has been committed to Tennessee since August. He's rated as the No. 1 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 5 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class.

There's reason to be concerned about this visit if you're a Vols fan. According on On3's Pete Nakos, this isn't a situation where Sanders is going to Columbus just for fun.
“It is an extremely serious visit,” reported On3's Pete Nakos. “It’s not to see the game of the day.”
In August, Ohio State insider Jeremy Birmingham suggested on THE Podcast that the Buckeyes were willing to give Sanders an NIL deal worth more than what the rest of the offensive line in Columbus is currently earning.
"Ohio State was willing do that (make a big NIL offer) in this instance," said Birmingham. "They were willing to pay David Sanders, from my understanding, more money than the rest of the offensive line currently makes. Or close to it. This was not a money issue. This was a closer to home issue."
It appears Ohio State isn't going down in this battle without a fight. The Vols, who ironically need the Buckeyes to beat Indiana on Saturday to improve Tennessee's playoff chances, are going to have their hands full if they want to keep the star of their 2025 recruiting class committed.
