Tennis player Lois Boisson was insulted with a deodorant comment during her tennis match against Harriet Dart on Tuesday, and she found a great way to make light of the unexpected headlines.
Boisson faced Dart in the first round of the Open de Rouen in France. Boisson won the match 6-0, 6-3, and Dart seemed frustrated during the second set and took it out with an insulting comment.
After Boisson had walked by to the other side of the court following a change-over, Dart complained to the chair umpire about the way Boisson smelled.
“Can you tell her to wear deodorant? It smells really bad every time she walks by,” Dart said.

Following the match, Boisson had a clever response via social media. She photoshopped an image of a stick of Dove deodorant over her hand, tagged Dove in the post and wrote “apparently need a collab.”

Boisson already got the last laugh by defeating Dart, who later apologized. Dart said she has a lot of respect for Boisson and that she regrets getting caught making a “heat-of-the-moment” comment.
Dart, 28, is currently ranked No. 109 in the world. Boisson is No. 234.
