The City Reapers are on an absolute heater when it comes to recruiting, adding yet another five-star recruit in Gabe Nesmith on Tuesday afternoon
Nesmith is a 6-5, 180 lb guard from Montverde, Florida who enters the season as the 11th ranked prospect in the class of 2027 according to ESPN. Nesmith is the second five-star recruit the City Reapers have added this week, after they announced the signing of fellow class of 2027 five-star Jeremy Jenkins yesterday
Nesmith played his sophomore season for Prolific Prep in Napa, California where he helped lead the team to a record of 35-6. In the quarterfinals of Chipotle Nationals, Nesmith played 13 minutes and hit a critical three to help Prolific Prep down Long Island Lutheran on the biggest stage
Nesmith is a talented guard who is renowned for his shooting touch, especially off the dribble, and for using his frame to get downhill and attack the basket. Nesmith put all of his scoring prowess on display at the Pangos All-American Camp in June, where he made a name for himself as one of the purest bucket-getters in the country
The combination of Nesmith and Jenkins instantly makes the City Reapers the team to beat at OTE this season. The two of them join an already potent returning core of Kole Grandison, Moustapha Diop and Styles Clemmons while fellow newcomers Howard Williams, Josiah “King” Sanders and Dream Tryout winner Trae Nunn look to play major roles on the team this season
Make sure to stay tuned in all summer long for OTE roster announcements as we approach the 2025-26 season ‼️
