Taylen Kinney announced that he will be attending Kansas University to continue his basketball career next season on Sunday afternoon

Kinney is one of the best players in OTE history and comes into his senior year as the face of RWE. He is coming off of a season in which he was named to the All-OTE Team and was the second runner-up for OTE MVP. Kinney is one of the most gifted scorers in the country, averaging 20.1 PPG on an obscene 63.1% true shooting percentage

Kinney is one of the top ranked players in the country, landing as the 13th ranked player in the class of 2026 and the top ranked point guard, according to 247Sports. He joins a long line of former OTE players who are playing at Kansas, as Samis Calderon (Cold Hearts), Kohl Rosario (YNG Dreamerz) and Bryson Tiller (City Reapers) are all on the 2025-26 Jayhawks roster

Kinney now turns his focus to getting RWE in championship form, as their season is set to tip-off on Friday, October 31st at 7 PM against the Cold Hearts
