The UCF Football program is poised for a significant change in the near future, with a push to rename FBC Mortgage Stadium.

The proposal is set to hit UCF’s board of trustees later this week and is expected to be ratified, according to a report from UCFSports’ Brandon Helwig.

The name change in question would result in FBC Mortgage Stadium changing to “Acrisure Bounce House.”

The name Acrisure originated from a rebranding effort by FBC Mortgage, which signed a 10-year, $19.5 million naming rights deal in 2022 with UCF. The company announced a rebranding effort to Acrisure Mortgage, aiming to align more closely with the parent company of Acrisure LLC.

“It doesn’t change the naming-rights deal, but it does change the potential name of the stadium,” UCF AD Terry Mohajir said last week. “We have a governance process we have to go through, so we’re still trying to determine if we need Board of Trustees approval again.”

Helwig also noted that the name change, which is expected to be approved, would result in the fifth name change of the stadium since its opening in 2007. The four other names of the football field in Orlando have been Bright House Networks Stadium (2007–2016), Spectrum Stadium (2017-2019), Bounce House (2020-2021), and FBC Mortgage Stadium (2022-2024).

The board of trustees is planning to meet on Thursday, June 12th, to discuss the matter in depth.
