Crystal Palace have endured a challenging summer, losing Eberechi Eze and not seeing many new players join. According to Fabrizio Romano, a verbal agreement has been reached with all parties regarding the transfer of Yeremy Pino to Crystal Palace.

Palace Reach Verbal Agreement for Pino

Eze had been linked heavily with a move to Tottenham before a last-minute U-turn to join the Gunners. Despite the expected departure, he leaves a huge creative hole in the Palace team. Their heated legal battle in the CAS courtroom regarding the European competition they will play in has also been a distraction, but that is now determined to be the Europa Conference League.

Palace manager Oliver Glasner has recently spoken about the distractions that have affected the club: “I had to reset my mind because sometimes you lose your focus of what’s really important. It’s also important that our fans switch, instead of shouting against somebody, shout for us.”

“This is what we need, this is what this group deserves. I remember during the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley against Aston Villa, there were 40,000 supporters shouting for us, it gives us strength.

“You never get energy when somebody wishes somebody else bad things, you get energy when somebody supports you and says ‘well done, excellent, come on, keep going!’ But if you say ‘this is s---’, it doesn’t help you and you don’t get confidence from this either. This is what our fans are doing and must continue to do, they’re our 12th man.”

Seeing Fabrizio Romano announce his trademark “Here We Go” for the Pino deal will be a huge relief for Palace and a much-needed option for Glasner. The verbal agreement with all parties has been reached with a fee of £26 million plus add-ons, with the talented winger agreeing to a long-term deal.

The Spanish international will bring pace and creativity to a Palace team, lacking since Eze’s departure. The 22-year-old can play on either wing, and with his work rate will be a huge boost for the Eagles. He also provides a goal-scoring threat from wide areas and an ability to make good decisions under pressure. Pino is a signing who will surely excite the Selhurst Park faithful.
