It was the freshman Kon Knueppel who was the leading scorer for Duke as they won big over the rival Tar Heels. Knueppel scored 22 points on 7-11 shooting, including 2-4 for three-point range. He filled out the rest of his stat sheet with a productive five rebounds, five assists, two steals, and a block.
