Angel Reese gave her honest take on the McDonald’s All-American snub that Kiyan Anthony , son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, got.

In a video posted by the official Jordan Brand Classic Instagram account, Kiyan was highlighted after he led Team Air to a 141-124 victory against Team Flight. The Jordan Brand Classic is an annual high school basketball showcase that features the top boys and girls players from the senior class. Under the comments section, Angel Reese made her feelings known about a snub the young Anthony got recently.

“Should have been a McDonald’s All-American but we move,” Reese wrote in her comment.

The McDonald’s All-American Game is a prestigious annual basketball event that showcases the top 24 high school male and female players in the United States. It serves as a platform for these young athletes to display their skills in front of college scouts, fans, and the basketball community. The game has a rich history of featuring future basketball stars, making it a significant milestone in a player’s career.

Kiyan Anthony, son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, was not included in the 2025 McDonald’s All-American Game roster. The primary reason for his exclusion was that he missed more than half of his senior season due to an injury, which disqualified him based on the game’s eligibility criteria

Despite this, Kiyan has continued to impress with his performances, including earning MVP honors at the Throne National Championship. He remains a highly regarded prospect and has committed to playing for Syracuse University, following in his father’s footsteps.

Angel Reese Gives Dating Advice to Kiyan Anthony

During Kiyan Anthony’s guest appearance at Angel Reese’s podcast “Unapologetically Angel ,” the Chicago Sky star gave dating advice to the young Kiyan Anthony.

“You need to be careful because when you go to the league — even when you’re in college — you need to be careful with these women,” Reese said. “You can’t be having anybody over there. And you tell them girls to drop their phone at the door.”

“You’re going to have to start making people sign NDA’s,” she continued.

Reacting to it on the “7PM in Brooklyn” podcast, Kiyan Anthony agreed with what Reese said.

“I f*** with it,” Anthony said. “It’s necessary, you know. She’s been in college and the experience in college at the highest level. She knows what’s going on.”

Angel Reese, outside of her regular podcasting, continues to train and work out for the 2025 WNBA season.
