Where Tennessee basketball ranks in new AP Top 25 poll

The Tennessee Vols basketball program had an up-and-down week while playing two road games. 

Tennessee saw their seven-game winning streak end early last week thanks to their 77-72 loss to Mississippi State. 

The Vols looked like they were heading for a second straight loss while trailing in Athens on Saturday afternoon, but a late second half comeback, featuring a strong performance from guard Dalton Knecht, allowed Tennessee to escape with an 85-79 win against Georgia. 

As a result of the Vols' 1-1 week, they fell from No. 5 to No. 6 in the new AP Top 25 poll that was released on Monday. 

Tennessee is still the highest ranked SEC team in the nation with Kentucky coming in at No. 8. 

The Vols have two home games this week. Tennessee will host Florida on Tuesday night before playing Alabama on Saturday.
