The first colorways that come to mind when you think about the 3s are easily the White and Black Cements. You might hear the Fire Reds or True Blues in that conversation too—especially with the True Blues making a return later this year—but the Cement pairs are always at the top.
The sneaker community really got spoiled with these back-to-back. Spring 2023 gave us the White Cement Reimagined 3s, and then Black Friday 2024 brought back the OG Black Cement 3s. Both releases got major love, although the Reimagined pair definitely had mixed reviews. Personally, I didn’t mind them at all—the aged look didn’t take away from how clean the shoe is.
For an unboxing look at the White Cements, I have linked a YouTube video below of the Reimagined 3s.

Let’s be real—both of these were heavy hitters, but the reactions were different. The White Cement Reimagined pair had people debating the vintage look, similar to how folks felt about the Reimagined Bred 4s. Even with that, they still sold out with no problem.
The Black Cements though? Different story. That release was one of the biggest of 2024. I saw it firsthand working at Champs—pairs were flying. Easily one of the fastest sellouts I’ve seen, right up there with the Metallic 5s.
If we’re talking overall release, I’d give it to the Black Cements. The hype, the demand, everything was there. But if I’m picking what I’d rather wear? I’m going White Cements every time. That colorway is just too clean, too easy to throw on.
Either way, you really can’t go wrong—both are top-tier 3s, no debate.A breakdown of the Air Jordan 3 White Cement Reimagined (2023) and Black Cement (2024). Which release had more hype, better design, and resale value?
