Wilder Responds To Ngannou – ‘Step In The Ring’

Deontay Wilder vs. Francis Ngannou appears to be gaining momentum after The Bronze Bomber posted a call out video. 

For Wilder, this is a chance to secure a lucrative fight against a perceived easier opponent. After a difficult run with four losses in his last six fights, his recent TKO victory over Tyrrell Herndon was a much-needed confidence boost. The “Bronze Bomber” has been vocal about his desire to take on a top-tier opponent, and a matchup with Ngannou, who has become a draw, fits the bill. 

Ngannou has quickly become a box-office star despite his limited professional boxing experience. In his debut, he shocked the world by knocking down Tyson Fury and taking him the distance in a narrow split-decision loss. Though he was knocked out by Anthony Joshua in his second outing, Ngannou’s immense power and global appeal have kept him in the heavyweight conversation.
