Will Sheppard was expected to make an impact for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and try to make the final 53-man roster. However, he's still unsigned after reportedly failing a physical, according to FOX Sport Greg Auman.
Sheppard played his final college season at Colorado after transferring from Vanderbilt. He was a four-year starter for the Commodores and Buffaloes with 200 receptions for 2,688 yards and 27 TDs.
During last season, Sheppard played a big role for Deion Sanders and the Buffs. He was one of the go-to receiver for Shedeur Sanders with 621 yards and six touchdowns.
"He’s a big-time receiver, Coach Prime said about Sheppard at CU's Pro Day. "A 50-50 ball, he’s going to get that more times than not. And I just love his character and what he brings to the table, what he brings to the practice field, day in and day out. He’s a tremendous asset."
While Sheppard deals with the setback, he'll look to come back stronger in the future.
