The Wisconsin Badgers have secured a visit with a 2027 in-state athlete who has flown under the radar thus far into the process.
Brady Lee, a 2027 recruit who plays wide receiver and safety, booked a game-day visit with the Wisconsin Badgers for the upcoming game against Middle Tennessee. Lee will spend September 6th with the Badgers and will have the chance to watch the team up close and personal. The talented athlete is also set to take two other game-day visits with Northern Illinois and North Dakota.
Overall, the recruiting process has not been incredibly flashy for Lee, but the athlete is beginning to see a steady increase in his exposure. Lee has spent much of the summer traveling between camps and competing in an effort to both develop his game and develop relationships. “The recruiting process has been a lot with all the camps and visits throughout the summer. However, I love it. It’s always been my dream to play college football,” stated Lee.
The recruiting process has continued to heat up for Lee, and now the athlete is starting to take different factors into consideration. When asked about his focus during the recruiting process, Lee stated, “What I look for in a program is mostly a school/program that will be behind me and give me the opportunities to succeed at the next level.”
As a Badgers fan himself from growing up in the area, Lee has an added level of excitement for the game-day visit that will occur. When asked about the visit and the chance to attend the game, Lee stated, “Growing up watching the Badgers and being at the games made getting the visit really exciting for me. I always remember being at the games and how high the energy was so I’m pumped for the game day.”
While the visit may excite Lee, the safety is still looking to take the recruiting process step by step and would like to grow closer to the program and the staff before making any sort of decision. “I would want to get closer with all the schools in the process in case of finding something in a school that separates them from the others. At the end of the day I’m trying to find the best fit for me,” stated Lee.
For the Wisconsin Badgers, Lee is a capable athlete who will need to have an eye kept on him during the upcoming season. The athlete is on the cusp of special things on the football field and a great season could be what Lee needs to break into serious FBS-level conversations moving forward.
On the field, Lee is an instinctual safety with incredible vision and great pursuit skills, which often results in broken plays and general chaos being caused. Lee has the speed to jet into the backfield before the running back can escape and the vision in coverage to launch his body towards the football to make a stop. Whether he must make a play in the air or on the ground, Lee can stop a variety of ball-carriers in different manners.
While still a generally raw prospect, Lee has all of the skills to be great and a 6-foot-2-inch, 190-pound frame that would make the perfect Wisconsin Badgers safety.
