While the Wisconsin Badgers gained ground towards a winning season on the field last week, the program also gained ground in a commitment race.

2027 four-star in-state offensive lineman Cole Reiter attended the game between the Badgers and the Miami (OH) RedHawks, which the Badgers won 17-0. Reiter is currently the second-ranked recruit in the state of Wisconsin within the 2027 class, sitting behind four-star tight end prospect Korz Loken, another Badgers target. Loken may also be close with the program, but the offensive lineman has grown particularly close to the Wisconsin staff.

Recently, Reiter received his third expert prediction to land with the Wisconsin Badgers and stay home for his collegiate career. The offensive tackle does hold other offers however, and Kansas is a program that has worked to stay close to the recruit. The Jayhawks are currently considered the only real competition Wisconsin faces, but other programs likely will begin to offer Reiter as his own season progresses.

While Reiter was in attendance, the Wisconsin Badgers did not have the greatest performance along the offensive line, but still secured a dominant win over the RedHawks. Scores do not always tell the full tale, and the Badgers certainly never feared the result of the game was in danger against a potentially strong Miami (OH) unit. Following the win, Reiter quickly earned his third expert prediction which was likely a result of the productive visit.

Off of the field with some current offensive line questions out of the picture, Reiter would be a massive commitment for Wisconsin. Reiter is one of the more talented linemen the state has produced in recent history and has shown a great deal of interest in staying home. If Wisconsin were to somehow fumble a potential commitment from offensive lineman at this point that would be a major shock given the supposed lead the program has.

Reiter is ranked as the 165th national recruit and the 17th overall offensive tackle in the class despite initially hitting the rankings in April as the 285th national recruit. The offensive tackle will likely see another jump in his ranking occur after a productive season on the field.
