Bryson DeChambeau’s Uncensored Rant at US Open Caught on Hot Mic

As the US Open enters its final two days, all eyes are on the unforgiving Oakmont course, a track known for testing the mettle of the world’s best. With heavy rain, knuckling lies, and brutal rough dominating headlines, Sam Burns surprisingly emerged as the leader, carding a round-of-the-day 65 to sit at 3-under. Meanwhile, heavyweights like Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy are chasing from behind, but not everyone made it to the weekend.

Defending champion Bryson DeChambeau was shockingly cut after a disastrous two-day performance that saw him finish 10-over-par three shots off the mark. Friday was especially brutal.

Errant drives, botched putts and a double-bogey run through holes 5 to 7 sealed his fate.

The signature moment? A wild swing into the rough on 18, followed by DeChambeau visibly frustrated and muttered on the hot mic. But it didn’t end there.

As the cameras rolled, DeChambeau’s raw emotions boiled over. Caught on a hot mic, he let loose a string of expletives, an unfiltered rant laced with frustration over missed shots and harsh conditions, as put in front of us by Nuclr Golf.

Though the exact words were bleeped or unclear, the meaning was obvious. He was angry, flustered, and in disbelief at how quickly his title defense unraveled.

Where last year’s win at Pinehurst saw him deliver a 55-yard bunker masterclass, this year’s tale ended with wild hacks and heated mutterings. DeChambeau, a fan favorite and former champ at Winged Foot, now watches from the sidelines while the rest battle on.

For someone who starred in four of the last five majors, his absence this weekend speaks volumes and so did his outburst.
