Jordan Spieth has struggled on the fairway since injuring his wrist in June. In July, he and his wife, Annie, welcomed their third child, daughter Sully, which shifted his focus from golf to family.
Now, back at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, he looks dangerously close to being knocked out of the playoffs.
Spieth was 50th on the FedEx leaderboard after two rounds in Memphis, Tennessee, entering the weekend at 1-over par and tied for 53rd.

For example, Rickie Fowler is listed 57th in the points race but is playing much better. He’s tied for 12th at 6-under and appears on track to gain the points he needs to improve his ranking.
Only the top 50 advance to the next playoff event, the BMW Championship. Although Spieth is currently inside that cutoff, he doesn’t look likely to hold the spot.
Tommy Fleetwood presently holds the lead with a score of 13-under. He made seven birdies and only one bogey during the second round of the event, giving him that much-needed boost.
"The greens are really true and I've had a nice eye on the greens and good reads and rolling it well," he said during a press conference on Friday. "Of course, whatever score I am through two rounds, you're going to have done everything well, but I think still you've got to focus on the good stuff and try and keep that going."
