Jake Sherwin made an ace in front of Tiger Woods.
At the Florida amateur, 30-year-old Jake Sherwood’s two playing partners managed to drop the ball to within feet on the 113-yard par-3 fourth hole at Palm Beach Gardens. His partners, Charlie Woods and Pavel Tsar set the pace, dropping tee shots to within 4 and 2 feet, respectively.
No pressure. Did I mention Charlie’s daddy, Tiger, was on hand? Sherwin stepped up, joking that his partners left him zero room by the hole.
“You could put it in the hole,” Joked Charlie.
Sherwin did just that, in front of the GOAT, no less. He also managed an albatross two on the Par 5 seventh hole earlier in the tournament. Yes, he finished in 35th place for the week. If you are counting, Charlie finished T-66 at 18-over par.
In the scheme of things, Sherwin’s score will be forgotten when the man goes back to work. What won’t be overlooked are the stories he will tell around the water cooler.
An ace in front of the GOAT is priceless.
You can't make it up. Jake Sherwin's hole-in-one story is an all-timer.
