Golf fans are keeping John Daly in their thoughts this Tuesday. A few hours ago, the 58-year-old revealed that he needed emergency surgery.

Daly, a two-time major champion, posted a picture from his hospital bed on Instagram. He didn't reveal what condition he's dealing with at this time. All he told people was that he should be back on the course "soon." The winner of the 1995 Open Championship also thanked his fans for sending him kind messages.

"Thank you to Doc McClimans for getting me mended back," Daly wrote. "Should be hitting em again soon! Thx for all the messages."

As you'd expect, this post from Daly was immediately greeted with kind comments from his fans. They're all hoping he has a speedy recovery.

"Get well soon JD," one person said.

Another person commented, "Praying for a fast recovery."

"Heal up quick JD!! Sending lots of prayers for quick recovery," a third person wrote.

Daly has dealt with his share of health problems over the years. In 2020, he revealed that he battled bladder cancer. He said he'd improve his lifestyle to reduce the chances of his cancer returning.

“The doctors aren’t saying it’s too late. Unfortunately, it’s a cancer that keeps coming back. But I’m going to listen to them, and I’m going to try and quit smoking," Daly said. "If it comes back, it comes back. Six months to a year, if it doesn’t go away, I’m going to live my life. I’m gonna have some fun."

Hopefully, the latest health scare for Daly is nothing more than a minor inconvenience. In the event it's something major, he'll most likely tackle it with a fearless mindset.

"Well, you know what, I always tell people I’ve lived one heck of a life. No matter what happens, I’m not scared to die or anything," Daly said in 2020.

We're certainly hoping Daly makes a full recovery from his latest setback.
