But the real story is his son. “My son now has a Seminole golf shirt and an Augusta golf shirt with the Masters logo,” Homa said. “So I think my son might get beaten up in elementary school.”

Augusta finds ways to follow Homa home. “Every day I seem to come to my locker, and I got another bag waiting for me to take home.”

He may not be spending as much, but plenty of others at Augusta were more than making up for it.

Masters merchandise sales have reached staggering heights. Front Office Sports projected merchandise sales for the 2026 tournament at around $70 million. There is no online store or shipping, and everything is sold only at the course.

Sports business analyst Joe Pompliano shared more details on X. He said this means about $277 is spent every second during the week.

The garden gnomes that are priced at about $50, sold out within the first hour each day. The new Masters mahjong set costing $575 has been listed for more than $7,500 on eBay in resale value, according to Golfweek.

One shopper told Business Insider she spent $3,500 on more than 100 items. Another said she walked in and “kind of blacked out.”
