Scottie Scheffler won his 16th PGA Tour title at the Memorial Tournament, matching Tiger Woods’s record of winning it in consecutive years. He also joined Sam Snead, Jack Nicklaus, and Woods in winning 16 tournaments in the shortest span of time.

His accolades drew a strong reaction from PGA Tour. They posted a photo of Scheffler with the caption saying, "Back-to-back at Jack's Place . Scottie Scheffler joins @TigerWoods as the only consecutive winners @MemorialGolf."

They made another post highlighting his period to reach 16th win, saying, "Just getting started "

Scheffler reached the mark in 3 years, 3 months and 19 days, which Woods achieved in 3 years, 3 months and 3 days. Snead leads the list with the shortest time of 2 years, 6 months and 1 day.

Scheffler finished with a score of 10-under par. His competitor heading into the final round on Sunday, Ben Griffin, finished second with 6-under par.

After winning, Scheffler sent a heartfelt message to his wife, Meredith.

"My wife is my biggest supporter." He said. "She's my best friend and this is our life out here on the road and it's been a lot of fun and I've had some special memories of this tournament and definitely couldn't do it without her. It's amazing to think how much this one(his son Bennett) has grown since one year ago."

Scheffler will not be participating in the RBC Canadian starting Thursday. Fans will directly get to see him at the US Open, teeing off on June 12.
