Japanese Hotel Opens Interactive Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah Room
The Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah room in the Japanese Hotel Gracery location. Hotel Gracery Shinjuku/Toho Co.

Are you a big Godzilla fan? Well, should you find yourself in Tokyo, Japan, in and around the area of Shinjuku City, then you may want to visit the Hotel Gracery. This location actually has an 80-ton Godzilla head on its rooftop for all to see. It’s the closest thing we have in the real world to the King of the Monsters. Now, via the official Godzilla website, we’ve learned that Hotel Gracery just got an extra dose of kaiju goodness. They’ve revealed their new “Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah” room for guests, which you can see an image of down below.

The new Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah room is produced by Toho Visual Art. This means that Toho, the actual owners of the Godzilla IP, had a hand in creating this room. This new interactive area comes loaded with lighting and sound controls, furniture, and a variety of props. These props enable hotel guests to act as 1/50th scale Godzilla and King Ghidorah movie directors. This new room joins the already existing “Godzilla Room” in the hotel, along with other rooms on the Hotel Gracery’s Godzilla floor. There are also rooms that overlook the hotel’s gigantic outdoor Godzilla head statue, which has become a landmark in the neighborhood.

In addition, the Hotel Gracery’s Godzilla front desk, lobby, store, and lounge all feature an aesthetic inspired by the iconic atomic fire-breathing lizard. After all, Godzilla is a true Japanese icon if ever there was one, first appearing in films since 1954. The halls and elevators for the top floor also come fully decked out in kaiju style. The new Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah room opened on July 1, as a way of celebrating the hotel’s tenth anniversary. Reservations for this room are now open at the Hotel Gracery Shinjuku website.
