
It’s been a tough year, injury-wise, for the Kansas City Royals, as the team is presently without its closer and multiple starting pitchers. Now, Maikel Garcia may very well join those players on the IL, as he suffered a hamstring injury on the 30th of May.
Orioles catcher Samuel Basallo suffered a pectoral injury on May 30 against the Blue Jays.
It doesn’t appear to be a concerning development, as manager Craig Albernaz indicated that Basallo would have taken his next turn in the lineup had he needed to. The injury occurred in the ninth inning.
Angels shortstop Zach Neto is dealing with whiplash after a collision at home plate against the Rays.
Neto ran to home plate after an overthrown pitch from Ian Seymour that resulted in a wild pitch. Seymour collided with Neto at the plate.
It’s been a bad week for hamstring strains across Major League Baseball, and that continued on May 30.

As expected, White Sox infielder Munetaka Murakami was placed on the injured list with a hamstring strain. He is likely to be out for at least a month.

Reds reliever Pierce Johnson was put on the IL with right elbow inflammation.
Marlins reliever Andrew Nardi was placed on the injured list with left rib cage inflammation.
White Sox pitcher Jordan Leasure (flexor strain) was transferred to the 60-day IL.
Two rehabbers were with Triple-A Toledo. Gleyber Torres went 0-4 with two strikeouts for the Mud Hens, while Kerry Carpenter went 0-1 with a walk.
Rangers outfielder Wyatt Langford went 0-2 with two walks and a strikeout for Triple-A Round Rock.
Diamondbacks outfielder Jordan Lawlar went 1-1 with a walk for the team’s ACL affiliate.
Guardians outfielder Angel Martinez is dealing with left foot inflammation after he was removed from Cleveland’s game against the Red Sox.
Nolan Arenado (precautionary) was scratched from the Diamondbacks’ lineup.
