3 Detroit Tigers Mentioned as Possible All-Star Game Replacements by MLB Insider

July 15's MLB All-Star Game is rapidly approaching as the dust settles on Sunday's roster announcements.

The Detroit Tigers landed three starters on the team including Riley Greene, Gleyber Torres and Javy Baez along with Tarik Skubal on the team's pitching staff, the most Detroit has recorded since 2015.

On Monday, MLB.com's Will Leitch revealed his latest MLB power rankings, placing AJ Hinch's league-leading Tigers at the top of the league while also shining a spotlight on three players who could find themselves as ASG replacements by the time the American and National Leagues are ready to take the field at Truist Park in Atlanta.

Detroit surged ahead of Los Angeles for the best record in the Majors this past weekend, which had Leitch thinking about more potential All-Stars in Olde English D gear.

"The Tigers ended up with four All-Stars, including their three starters -- Riley Greene, Javier Baez, and Gleyber Torres, plus Tarik Skubal -- the most since 2015, when Miguel Cabrera, Jose Iglesias (his one ASG appearance) J.D. Martinez and David Price all made the team.

"If there are any replacements, you wonder if there's potentially space for Zach McKinstry, Spencer Torkleson or Casey Mize, all of whom are clearly deserving," Leitch added on MLB.com

McKinstry is hitting .285 with six home runs and 26 RBI for the Tigers and 77 hits while Mize is 9-2 with a sub-3.00 ERA (2.63).

Torkelson is hitting .235 with 20 home runs, supplying power in the middle of Detroit's batting order this season.
