5 Bold Predictions for the 2025 NFL Draft: Shedeur Sanders Will Go Earlier Than Expected

For all that Aaron Rodgers has done, what was his first real introduction to the NFL world, and what was he originally known for?

Instead of going No. 1 overall in the 2005 NFL Draft to San Francisco - Alex Smith went to the 49ers - he sat around during the draft broadcast waiting until the 21st pick to be selected.

The NFL doesn't want that to happen to Shedeur Sanders, so he wasn't invited to Green Bay - the league doesn't want the kid to be embarrassed if things don't go quite right.

But it would be a colossal whiff to miss out on the viral moments if the Sanders family isn't a part of all this if and when Shedeur is selected earlier.

Where will he be drafted? It's part of the 5 Bold Predictions for the 2025 NFL Draft.

4. Shedeur Sanders will be drafted earlier you think.

You know how you can tell everyone is blah on an NFL prospect? They say nice things about him.

You know how you can tell a prospect is hot? Half of the sewing circle rumors are about how teams hate the guy - which means at least half of that half is in deep love - and the other half of the rumors aren't there because of a stone-dead silence.

Remember, it only takes one. As long as one team likes a top player, that's the market.

It’s not like the quarterback position is super-deep like last year - Cam Ward is probably the seventh QB off the board in 2024 - and there are way too many teams that either need a starter right away or could use a younger option.

Here’s the call. Sanders slides outside of the top ten, and even past the 15, and then someone makes a move up to get him before Pittsburgh makes the call at the 21.

And then we spend the next ten years hearing about how disrespected Sanders was - complete with t-shirts and motivational slogans in way too many ads for us all to deal with.
