The Detroit Tigers had a thrilling 4-3 late inning comeback win against the Kansas City Royals on Thursday.

The Tigers have seemingly bounced back following their weak start to the Major League Baseball season.

Since June 1, the Tigers have a record of 27-16, a .628 winning percentage.

Detroit notably had an improbable late-season surge to clinch an American League Wild Card spot in the 2024 season, lead by ace pitcher Tarik Skubal.

Now, amid all the Skubal trade rumors, the team is looking to do it again.

Manager A.J. Hinch clearly has a lot of confidence in his team, following the win on Thursday, Hinch stated, "We have a lot of toughness in this group."

Hinch is talking about the toughness a team has to have to bounce back from a tough start to the season, he is looking to lead the team to their third straight postseason berth.

The Tigers recent surge has boosted them to a 49-54 record and puts them only 4.0 games out of a Wild Card spot in a weak American League.

With 59 games to play, the Tigers could possibly take their fans for another exciting ride back to October.
