The Milwaukee Brewers are starting to hit their stride, which many saw coming. The Brew Crew was one of the top teams in the league last season, but fell short to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS.
Longtime MLB catcher AJ Pierzynski has been high on the Brewers all season and explained on Foul Territory that the team is playing like the team he picked to be No. 1 in the Power Rankings.
The Brewers have some special sauce that needs to be talked about more.

“Pat Murphy does it again; he finds the right pieces,” Pierzynski said. “There is something about that place. They find the right players for Pat Murphy to plug in. Matt Arnold does a great job of acquiring the right players. They have a system that they trust and believe in.”
“When you go into that clubhouse, and you listen to Murphy talk, you listen to Matt Arnold, and you talk to these players … they get it. They all get along. It’s pretty remarkable what the Brewers have done with the players they have lost over the last five years. They keep winning, and they keep proving everyone wrong. I got on board this year.”
Now, the Brewers are not No. 1 in the Power Rankings with a 28-18 record, good for the 4th-best record in the league and third in the National League. However, the team is 8-2 in their last 10 games and has seemed to take control of the NL Central division, due to the Chicago Cubs losing four straight games and eight of their last 10.
Christian Yelich is back healthy, and the offense looks to go on a tear. Milwaukee is now 7th in the league in runs scored with 232 on the season. Top pitcher Jacob Misiorowski has been filthy this season as well, and proved it against the Cubs with a dominant showing.
The Brewers go for the series sweep over the Cubs later on Wednesday night.
