Bat, uniform linked with Aaron Judge's 62nd home run may be worth $1 million

Previous estimates that said the home run ball linked with New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge breaking the American League single-season record of 61 homers could sell for over $500K at auction appear to have been far too conservative, as it's since been reported that Judge's 62nd blast of the 2022 MLB campaign currently carries a value of at least $2 million.

There's apparently more where that came from.

On Wednesday, TMZ Sports spoke with David Kohler from SCP Auctions about the value of other items forever associated with the historic trek around the bases that Judge completed against the Texas Rangers on Tuesday night.

"Certainly the bat, the tool, the trade that he used yesterday to hit this historical milestone home run. That bat's worth a lot of money and the uniform he wore," Kohler told TMZ. "Those are Aaron Judge's, basically, right, so I'm sure he's keeping those, but again if we had those at auction, in our firm, SCP Auctions, that's gonna probably bring, for a pair, probably a million dollars.

"Of course, his cleats that he wore, his batting helmet of course — all those things are gonna bring big bucks for this very historical moment."

Memory Lane Inc., an auction house in California, has offered the fan who caught Judge's 62nd home run ball later identified as Cory Youmans $2 million for the one-of-a-kind souvenir. It was unclear as of Wednesday afternoon if Youmans intends to accept that offer.

"This baseball's worth a lot of bucks! Our estimate actually, with everything that's gone on in the last week or two leading up to the last game yesterday, our estimate is over $2 million for this baseball!" Kohler added during the conversation with TMZ.

As for Judge, he likely doesn't need to sell anything related to his special night. It's been predicted by some that he could sign a contract worth a total of around $375 million over 10 years during the upcoming offseason.
